Nothing affects the bottom line more directly than the costs involved in a work practice incident. Fender-benders, lost time or traffic violations all waste the precious time of our customers and decreases our own productivity. InterCon rigorously trains new employees upon their hire. Each year every employee from the president to our truck drivers must attend the safety refresher courses. Foremen receive an on-going report of their crews' safety performance. Crews receive a daily reminder of their potential hazards and how to avoid them. Safety is of the foremost importance at every point of our operations.

InterCon works diligently with our customers to provide an incident free work zone. Project-specific plans are designed at our customers' requests to identify and avoid the hazards unique to each project whether it's environmental or archaeological sanctity, traffic control or hazardous substances. Our safety department is well-versed in the OSHA and D.O.T. regulations governing InterCon's operations, and we cooperate fully with our customers to design a safe, efficient work environment.
